Privacy policy

Jaspèr (“we”, “us”) is an Australian business selling baby and toddler clothing online. [Legal entity name and ABN to be added.] We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

• Your name, email address, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses.
• Your orders, pre-orders, exchanges and returns.
• Details you choose to give us, such as your baby's size or due date when you join a waitlist, so we can send you the right sizes.
• Messages you send us.
• How you use our website, through cookies and similar tools (see below).

Card and Afterpay payments are processed by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

• To take, deliver and support your orders, including refunds if a pre-order doesn't go ahead.
• To answer your questions and handle exchanges and returns.
• To send emails you've asked for, like drop waitlist reminders. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003.
• To keep our website secure and work out how to improve it.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as tax records.

We share only what each service needs to do its job: our online store platform [Shopify], payment providers [Shopify Payments, Afterpay], our warehouse and delivery partners, our email service [Klaviyo] and, only if you agree to them, analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising partners (Meta and TikTok).

Some of these providers store information overseas, including in [the United States]. We don't sell your personal information.

We use a few necessary cookies to keep your cart, sign-in and early access working, to remember a creator link you arrived through, and to remember your cookie choice.

Only if you agree, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used) and marketing cookies (Meta, TikTok and Klaviyo, to measure our ads and tailor our emails using the pages you view and what you add to your cart). If you agree to marketing cookies, we also send these events, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address when you join a waitlist, to Meta and TikTok directly from our server. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working.

Our customers are parents and gift buyers. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. We never use names or photos of our customers' children in our marketing without written consent.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint about how we've handled it, by emailing hello@jasper.example. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
